In order to continue to raise awareness of Yokohama citizen about Africa, ahead of TICAD IV (the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development), the city of Yokohama has taken the initiative to take African Ambassadors to elementary schools in Yokohama. On April 18, 2008 the Ambassador of Rwanda, Dr. Emile Rwamasirabo visited a second school, Daimon School, 770 students where he had a lively interaction with students, replying to numerous questions about Rwanda; he also enjoyed sharing lunch with selected grade 6 students.
