Jazz for Peace Team to perform in Rwanda
Rwanda is set to host Rick DellaRatta � a world renowned jazz pianist and his group �Jazz for peace� at Petit Stadium and the Serena Hotel this weekend. The team will perform live in two concerts as part of the country�s �Amahoro� - Peace Week celebrations that are organised by the Ministry of Sports and Culture (MINISPOC). (more…)
In May 16th (Sat) and 17th (Sun), African Festa 2009 was held for two days at Event space of Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama, organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was a success with uncountable number of crowds gathered. 
The Reconnaissance Tour of the Fifth Africa-Asia Business Forum (AABF V) is going to be held in Rwanda, before the AABFVin Uganda that is scheduled from June 15th-17th. Government officials and Tourism operators from Japan and Asia is going to participate in the tour. 
Rwanda, along with GAVI Alliance and other global health partners have introduced the first national immunisation programme in a developing country against pneumococcal disease, the world�s leading infectious child killer. 
In May 22nd and 24th, 2009, �AFRICAN FILM DAY in Yokohama� is scheduled to be held at Yokohama Landmark Hall in Yokohama. 
The 5th edition of the International peace marathon, will take place on sunday 24th May 2009 in Kigali capital of Rwanda. The organisation is under the lead of Rwandis Ministery for youth, sports (M.I.J.E.S.P.O.) in cooperation with Soroptimist Europe (S.I.E., Women association) and luxemburgish runners (A.L.M.K). National Olympic comitee of Rwanda (C.O.R.) and Athletic Federation (F.R.A.) are involved, too. 
From May 17 (Sat) to 18 (Sun), African Festa 2009, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is going to be held on at Red Brick Ware house in Yokohama. Embassy of Republic of Rwanda is going to participate in the event with the booth (number C-26). We look forward to see you at the event.
